I bought this smart plug because my electricity bill spiked recently, and I wanted to see which applianceswere actually responsible. The energy monitoring feature has been very useful for tracking the powerconsumption of my larger electronics. It gives me a much clearer idea of what's costing the most money torun throughout the day.The setup was straightforward with my Wi-Fi, and the app control works reliably. I can now turn devices offremotely if I forget, or just set schedules so they aren't drawing power when not in use. It's compactenough that it doesn't block the other outlet on the wall.

I've found that these kinds of smart plugs have been super useful when setting up an automated home.This two pack includes a pair which work with Alexa, are rated for the full 15A of a socket, and include power monitoring aswell.The plugs themselves are fairly big. If you have sockets either side, then this is going to obscure them. Vertically though it's fine.The instructions are completely the opposite - for a GenXer like me, theyre utterty unreadable - use your phone's camera to magnify the textif required.They use the "Smartuite"app - something laready had loaded on my phone from a similar device, and so-not actually required The installtion was a breze- plug itin,runthe app. It automatically finds the new plug, asks if you want to add it, registers it and gives it a Gegus%g name'.
